Liquid smoke
The outstanding quality and versatile applicability of Profood's liquid smoke products cover the entire range of different applications used in the meat- and food industry. By using liquid smoke, it is possible to create an intense and authentically smoky flavour of the products.
We have developed six different product ranges, each with unique characteristics and flavour profiles. By using liquid smoke, our partners can create an extremely wide range of products, keeping in mind the consumer's demand.
We use the highest quality beech wood chips to produce the smoke. This guarantees that our liquid smoke provides an intense and rich smoky flavour to the products. As a result of the carefully controlled burning process of beech wood chips, the intensity and quality of the smoke generated is in perfect harmony with traditional smoking, but compared to the traditional technology, the content of harmful substances (carcinogenic compounds) in the finished product is negligible.
By using ProSmoke products, the labour- and energy costs of the meat processing plant can be reduced increasing the production capacity.

Biochar, Bio-carbon
in the spirit of environmental awareness
Biochar, a biomass rich in carbon, that is produced during pyrolysis - the thermal decomposition of materials - and can be used as a valuable soil remediation material. During the production of our liquid smoke range biochar is generated as a by-product. The water-holding capacity of agricultural land can be significantly improved by using biochar.
